How to earn by teaching online in Pakistan
By the Hunarzai team. Facts checked 3 October 2026.
The short answer
There are three ways to earn by teaching online from Pakistan: take a salaried role with an online school or academy, tutor students one to one, or create your own course and earn a share of every sale. A salaried role gives fixed hours and fixed pay. Tutoring pays for each hour you teach. A course takes work up front, but once it is recorded it can keep selling without you being online. The three ways to earn by teaching online
| Way | How you are paid | Your time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Salaried online teaching role | A salary or hourly rate from the school or academy | Their timetable | Teachers who want a steady, predictable income |
| One-to-one tutoring | Per lesson or per month, by each student or family | You set your hours, but you must be online for every lesson | Teachers who enjoy personal teaching |
| Your own course | A share of every sale | Record once, add live classes when you choose | Teachers with a subject or skill many people want to learn |
You can combine them. Many teachers tutor a few students and turn their best lessons into a course.
1. Salaried online teaching roles
Online schools, academies and tutoring companies hire teachers for a fixed number of hours. Vacancies are listed on recruitment sites such as Rozee.pk, Indeed and LinkedIn. The employer decides the subject, the timetable and the pay, and usually asks for a degree or teaching experience.
2. One-to-one tutoring
You find students yourself, through tutoring websites, recommendations, or WhatsApp and Facebook groups for parents. You agree a rate per lesson or per month. Your income depends on the hours you teach: when you stop teaching, the income stops.
3. Your own course
You record lessons, teach live classes, or do both, and students buy the course. You earn a share of each sale. It takes work before the first sale: planning, recording and checking the lessons. After that, the same lessons can be sold again and again.
What you need to start
- A phone with a good camera, or a laptop with a webcam.
- Stable internet, especially for live classes.
- A quiet room with light in front of you, not behind you.
- Clear sound. Students forgive a plain background, but not a voice they can't hear. A basic clip-on microphone is a common first purchase.
How to create your first course
- Pick one topic your students already ask you about, or that people search for.
- Write the outcome in one sentence: what a student can do after the course.
- Plan 5 to 10 short lessons that build on each other.
- Record one sample lesson first, watch it back on a phone, and fix the sound and light.
- Record the rest, keeping each lesson focused on one idea.
- Set a fair price within the platform's limits.
- Share your own link with your students, parents and followers.

- Keep 60% of sales Hunarzai brings you.
- You are paid twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th, by JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer to an account in your name. Each sale becomes payable after its 30-day refund hold, and payouts start once you are owed at least PKR 1,000.
- Price limits: recorded courses up to PKR 4,999, live courses up to PKR 9,999, hybrid courses up to PKR 7,999.
- To get verified you send your CNIC, a WhatsApp number, your qualification and a short sample lesson. Every course is checked by the team before it goes live (see the quality standards).

Mistakes to avoid
- Planning a huge course. Finish a short one first.
- Poor sound. Test your audio before recording every lesson.
- Waiting for students to find you. Share your own link: on Hunarzai, sales from your own link earn you the larger share.
- Copying other people's material. Teach in your own words, with your own examples.
